According to Hana Shaf-Brener, there were three Urdang families in Shkud.
Efraim Ben-Tsion Urdang, age 60, a merchant who established the Shkud Jewish National Bank, was married to Rachel Leah, 56.
Avraham Moshe Urdang, 50, a merchant who ran a large grocery store, was married to Ida (nee Shalmanes), 48, a teacher. The couple had two sons: Chaim, 22, and Yashe, 16.
Berl Urdang, 60, a hotel keeper and owner of a cable factory, was married to Klara, 55, who ran the hotel. The couple had a son, Uma Abraham, 30.
According to Jewish Gen’s Lithuania Tax and Voters Lists database, the Urdangs – a large family – were already established in Skud by 1846. Efroim, son of Mousha (born 1872; a grocer in 1914); Abram, son of Abram (born 1891; had wine and beer houses in 1914); and Ber, son of Abram (born 1880; a trader living in Courliandskyaya Street in 1913, with a snack bar in 1914) appear several times in the records; they may be the individuals referred to in Shaf-Brener’s chart above. At any rate, the Urdang families appeared quite well-to-do.
Efraim Urdang’s store is listed in the business directory of “Jews in the Memory of Skuodas People” (see link on this page) under the heading of “Colonial Trading” (which would include tea, coffee, cotton, and other “colonial” goods); the address was Gedimino Square 2 (19). According to Kehilat Shkud, “Among the founders of the Yiddish Folksbank were Eliyahu Tanur hy”d, Michal Fogelman hy”d, Mendel Chatzkels z”l and Ephraim Bentzion Urdang hy”d” (12; see also 52).
According to Jewish Gen’s Lithuania Internal Passports database, Rokha Leya Urdang, daugter of Leiba, born in Skuodas in 1878, applied for a foreign passport in June 1937. She is probably the wife of Efraim Ben-Tsion Urdang.

The son of Efraim Bentsion, Moshe, emigrated to the US and financed the publication of the Shkud Yizkor Book (Kehilat Shkud 50). In Shkud, Moshe had been a cofounder of the Youths of Zion Association (22) and was also a leader of the youth groups Young Zion and Histadrut (54). He was also a football player:

Like Efraim Ben-Tsion Urdang, Abrom Mausha Urdang was also in colonial trading; his shop was on Gedimino Square 13 (“Jews in the Memory” 19; see also 1). Avraham Moshe was also a wholesaler who owned a small truck for transporting goods (5). Ber Urdang is listed in the business directory of “Jews in the Memory” under the heading “Beer Warehouses” (18).
Chaim Urdang (likely the son of Avraham Moshe) participated in the youth group Hashomer Hatzair:
