According to Jewish Gen’s Lithuania Tax and Voters List database, Yakov Shlez, born about 1899, son of Eliash, lived in Mosyadskaya street. His brother Benjamin, born about 1894, was a tradesman, originally from Zidikai. Gilel Shlez, son of Leyzer, was a poor worker in 1904 with four family members. According to the Lithuania Marriages database, Motel (Mordechai) Slez, son of Abram and Mine (nee Grin), born in 1910 in Pikeliai, married Libe Shaf, daughter of Yosel and Roche (nee Sheinling). They were married in Kaunas, 1938. In 1930, Feige Slez, born in Shkud to Elijos and Mirjom in 1900, married Yosel Elkishek, son of Yitzak and Chane Feige (nee Bloch) of Akmene.
Jewish Gen’s Lithuania Deaths database indicates that Cile Shlez, born in 1890 to Eliyas and Ester Khaye Doberman, died in Shkud in 1939. Perhaps Cile, despite being nine years older, was Yakov’s wife? Bencin Shlez, son of Abram Yitzak and Mine (nee Grin), a farmer, born in Skuodas in 1903, died in 1927.
