According to Hana Shaf-Brener, there were three Zinger families in Shkud.

Gundel Zinger, son of Yecheskel and Mina, born in 1865, was a merchant.

Hirsh Zinger, a merchant, was married to Masha. The couple had had a 20-year-old daughter, Tsipe. Masha’s unmarried sister Dora also lived in Shkud.

Kalman Zinger, 55, a grain merchant, also lived in Shkud. He had no family.

Jewish Gen’s Lithuania Marriages records the 1922 marriage of Kalman Zinger, a merchant, son of Khatskel and Basa Mire. Kalman, 36, married Khaya Leya Mines, also 36, son of Meyer and Rokhel Mines and my father’s sister. Khaya and Kalman were my aunt and uncle.

According to Jewish Gen’s Lithuania Tax and Voters Lists database, in 1914 Feyga Zinger, daughter of Shlioma, worked in a grocery. Feyga’s relationship with the Zingers described above is unclear.

Both Kalman Zinger and Tsvi Zinger appear on Jewish Gen’s Yizkor Book Necrology database.
