According to Hana Shaf-Brener, Hirsh Tsizling, the son of Ben Tsion Lieb and Yentl, was a merchant. He was married to Menucha.

The couple had a son, Binyamin, who was married to Chana (nee Pinte), daughter of Etl. Binyamin and Chana had a son, age 10, and a daughter, age 12.

According to Jewish Gen’s Lithuania Tax and Voters Lists Database, the Tzizling family was established in Shkud from at least 1844, when Josel Chizling, son of Girsh, was a “Melamed-owner of 2nd Importance KhederCurriculum in accordance with government regulation of 13 November 1844. Russian not taught, no teacher. Students’ performance average. 10 students in class.”

Jewish Gen’s Lithuania Marriages database records the 1894 marriage of Girsh Tzizling, son of Berel, to Menukha, nee Shevat, daughter of Movsha Abel of Plunge. Girsh, age 25, was the assistant of the Rav. In 1926, Khane, age 26, the daughter of Mirsh and Menukhe, married Shmuel Leib Zelig, son of Yankel and Khaye of Skuodas.

According to Kehilat Shkud, Benjamin Tsizling was a cofounder and leader of the Youths of Zion Association (22; 54). Ephraim Tzisling, who either survived the Holocaust or emigrated beforehand (his relationship to Benjamin is unclear; a brother?), was a founder of the youth group Ha’noar in 1922 (18, 53), and was also on the Maccabi football team.
