According to Hana Shaf-Brener, Shmuel Yakov Levi and his wife Mara Zisa (nee Shmuk) had two young daughters, Nechama and Beyla.
Jewish Gen’s Lithuania Tax and Voters Lists database records the Levi family in Shkud from at least 1848. The Lithuania Marriages database records that in 1931, Shmuel Yankel Levi, a merchant, born in 1905 to Gershon and Khene (nee Karpul) Levy, married Zise Mere Shmuk, born in 1906 in Darbenai. In 1938, Khane Sheine Levi, a dressmaker, born in 1908 to Mausha and Hene (nee Hurvich) Levi, of Skuodas, married Shmuel David Bas. Khane Sheine’s brother, Josel Ber Levi, born in 1910, married Mera Leja Lenkimer in 1939. The Lithuania Internal Passports database records a Gite Levi, daughter of Mousha Levi, who was born in Skuodas in 1920.
