According to Hana Shaf-Brener, Ela Gurvich, a widow, occupation seamstress, had three children: a daughter, Tsvia, and two sons, Leib and Avraham.
Jewish Gene’s All Lithuania Revision List, Database 3, lists the Gurvich family living in Skuodas from 1816 – obviously an old, large, and well-established family. However, I could find no definite information on the family members given above. The Lithuania Marriages Database does list a couple, Kalman and Ela Hurvich, whose daughter Yete was married in Skuodas in 1928, age 27. Perhaps Yete was the older sister of Tsvia, Leib, and Avraham? Without more information, we cannot be sure.
Yad Vashem (as of September 2013) has no information on the Gurvich family of Skuodas.
