According to Shaf-Brener, Chasya Tsipe Bub, a widowed pub-keeper, had two children: a son, Leizer, who stitched shoes, and a daughter, Rachel.
According to a Bub descendant, Chasya Tsipe’s husband was Zion. He was killed in WW1 while serving in the Russian army. The couple had three (not two) children: Pesach, Leizer, and Rachel. Pesach, the oldest, was born in 1909 and emigrated to South Africa in 1929. He has living descendants.
