And his family Bod Mayer Store Shkud Shkud

According to Shaf-Brener, Mayer Bod, who worked in a store, lived with his family in Shkud. Nothing more is knows of the Bod family.

JewishGen records that in 1904 Mousha Bod, son of Aron, was a home-owning worker in Skuodas, with four family members. Mousha’s son, Leyzer, was a poor shoemaker with four family members.

JewishGen’s Marriages database reveals that in 1935, Meyer Bad, born 1903, son of Mausa Aron of Skuodas, married Libe Volfson in Girkalnis (Kaunas region). In 1933, Abram Reif, son of Yitzak and Mere (nee Bod) of Skuodas, married Freida Mere Kagan. (To view these records, log on at www.JewishGen.org and search the Lithuania database.)

To summarize, it would appear that Mousha Bod, son of Aron, had at least two sons: Leyzer, birthdate unknown, and Meyer, born in 1903. (Perhaps Mere was their sister?) Meyer married Libe Volfson in 1935, and by 1941 they probably had at least one child.

Yad Vashem does not (as of 2012) list Pages of Testimony for a Bod family in Skuodas, though there are a number of pages for Bod/Bud families in nearby towns.
